  • Description

    MikroTik cAP ax is a new version of the popular cAP (ceiling Access Point) model. The manufacturer has equipped the device with a more powerful quad-core CPU clocked at 1.8GHz and 1GB of RAM. The network interfaces consist of two Gigabit Ethernet ports. One of them is a port with PoE-in function (passive PoE or 802.3af/at to choose from). The second port, in turn, can power an additional device, e.g. an IP camera.

    When it comes to the wireless networking, MikroTik used two independent interfaces operating in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Both compatible with WiFi 6 (802.11ax). The modules are connected to 2x2 MIMO antennas (with a gain of 5.5dBi in 5GHz and 6dBi in 2.4GHz). Thanks to this, the access point can operate at speeds of 1200 Mb/s and 574 Mb/s.

    The compact housing of the cAP ax allows for mounting on the ceiling (solid or suspended) as well as on the wall. All mounting accessories included with the device. This makes it an ideal solution for offices, hotels and shops.
