Fiber optics

Fiber optics are very thin hairs like plastic or glass, less than 10 mm thick where they transmit digital data through a beam of light. Optical fibers are usually concentrated in a cable that contains tens or even hundreds, forming the so-called optical cables. Through the optical fibers the digital signal can be transmitted over a distance of more than 50 km
